About

Seven years of fixing things for people who needed them fixed today.

I am Connor Hagans, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I work in IT field service for a large health system and run Hagans Consulting, LLC on the side. Hagans Tech is the part of that company that builds and hosts websites, and it is the part I like most.

I got into this the practical way: supporting infrastructure across twenty-plus campus buildings while finishing a business degree, then a health system service desk with a queue that never emptied, then field service across more than 150 clinics. That work is about keeping calm, finding the actual cause, and explaining it to someone who just wants their day back.

The homelab started as a study project for security certifications and turned into a small enterprise-style environment: centralized logging, a SIEM, intrusion detection, a VPN mesh, a bastion host, DNS filtering and nightly backups. Everything I recommend to a client is something I have already run, broken and repaired at home.

Hagans Tech is me narrowing the company to what I actually want to do: build websites properly, host them on infrastructure I understand end to end, and keep them working. Advice is still on the menu, it is just no longer the headline.
